Teacher Assistant- Infant, Toddler and Preschool Program

Lead Preschool Teacher

 

Salary Range:  $13.00 to $17.00/hr. Placement in this range is dependent on professional development levels for education and training. Additional incentives may be available for special duty assignment(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Assistant works with the Lead Teacher to prepare and implement the daily lesson plans and ensures a high level of interaction with children. If Lead Teacher then prepares lessons and works with assistants to implement lessons.
  • Experience with Creative Curriculum preferred. Strong familiarity with lesson planning incorporating all domains of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and emotionally supportive environment that is conducive to learning and is centered on the needs and abilities of the children
  • Completes developmental screenings & assessments
  • Maintains documentation for services provided, progress reports and attendance
  • Works as part of a team with Assistants, Lead Teacher, center staff and Director
  • Builds positive relationships with families
  • Participates in staff meetings, conferences, professional development

 

Qualifications:

  • Career Pathway Level in OCCRRA is at minimum Level 1
  • Willingness to update job knowledge with required ODJFS Licensing Rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities and industry trends 
  • Demonstrate cross cultural competency while working with Horizon's diverse population.
